Coral Bay and Ningaloo Reef Weather Conditions

The Ningaloo region is blessed with a fantastic climate. With no true wet season, it’s dry and warm most of the year. In fact, Ningaloo records around 320 days of sunshine every year!

Summer (December – March) daytime temperatures range from low to high 30’s (degrees Celsius) in Coral Bay, which is typically 5-10 degrees cooler than Exmouth due to the prevailing south westerly breezes which don’t always make it over the Cape Range & Peninsula to cool Exmouth quite as much. A typical winters day (June – August) averages around 25 degrees Celsius.

Water temperatures vary from 25-28 degrees in the hotter months and 19-22 degrees in the coolest months, perfect snorkelling and scuba diving weather all year round. Shore Thing provides 3mm & 5mm wetsuits on board for guests to protect you from the sun & if you feel the cold.
