What to bring

Please bring all personal items in a soft bag for easy stowage.

  • Personal toiletries and medications, including sea-sickness medication if in doubt
  • Sun Protection – hat, polarized sunglasses, sun smart clothing, sunscreen, water bottle to refill
  • Swimming attire, rash shirt, camera
  • Casual lightweight/quick dry clothing is recommended, layers will be appreciated during winter/spring
  • Warm &/or windproof jacket as can sometimes be a bit chilly when windy (especially end May – October)
  • Footwear (reef sandals or flip-flops okay) for 5 & 8 night tours
  • Please feel free to bring your own snorkel/dive equipment if it fits well
  • Scuba Diving – Only tanks & weights are provided. We can arrange any hire equipment you require, please advise at time of booking.
  • Any on board expenses (such as alcoholic drinks & merchandise) can be paid with cash, bank transfer or Credit Card (CC payments attract a surcharge). Whilst tipping is not an expected custom in Australia, if you do wish to express your gratitude to your crew by way of a gratuity then cash is the preferred method.

 

Please Note: A selection of Sail Ningaloo merchandise (Fleece jackets, long-sleeve polo shirts, caps & wide-brimmed hats) are available for purchase on board. If you know in advance you would like to purchase an item you wish to wear throughout the tour, please let us know so we can ensure the correct sizing can be made available for you on arrival.

Accommodation, Airport Transfers and Extra Services

Pre/post accommodation, additional day tours, scenic flights and airport transfers are not included in the tour price, however our expert reservations team are happy to assist you by tailor-making a unique Ningaloo holiday itinerary that ticks all your boxes.

At certain times of the year, especially during West Australian school holidays, Coral Bay and Exmouth accommodation can be fully booked so we recommend to secure your pre/post accommodation as far in advance as possible.

Medical

Sail Ningaloo requests that travellers are in good health to participate in our tours. Please inform us if you have any medical or physical conditions so we can best meet your needs. Shore Thing carries an extensive medical kit onboard for your well being, however please bring sufficient supply of personal medication onboard, including seasickness medication and paracetamol.

Please Note: Guests are liable for the cost of any emergency medical or rescue service (summoned at the discretion of the Master of the vessel) in relation to any illness or injury. Sail Ningaloo STRONGLY recommends that clients take out adequate travel insurance prior to boarding. Sail Ningaloo does not recommend or endorse any specific insurers.

Special additional considerations for Scuba Diving activities: Please also observe our STRONG recommendation for additional Dive Evacuation Insurance if you will be or think you might be, participating in scuba diving activities whilst on tour with Sail Ningaloo. Scuba diving activities carry an additional risk and medical treatment can be costly. The closest Hyperbaric Chamber is approx. 1200km away.
