1. What’s your background?
I began working as a guide on Australia’s reefs after my environmental science degree. Connecting people to the wonders of the ocean, from both the East and West coast, has been a dream.
2. Where were you and what were you doing before working for Sail Ningaloo?
I’ve called the Ningaloo home for 2 years now. Working in the Whaleshark industry as a guide and deckhand for most of the year, before continuing my work in the Great Barrier Reef as a Master Reef Guide over Summer.
3. What`s your favourite part about working on the Ningaloo Coast so far? 🌴
The diversity of marine life - from blue whales, to orcas, and sargassum frogfish. I am in awe of this reef.
4. If you could switch places with any marine creature for a day, which one would it be and why? 🐡🐠
I can’t decide between a Mantis Shrimp or a Humpback Whale. I’d love to experience the thrill a humpback must feel when they breach, but how cool would it be to see in the ultraviolet and infrared through the eyes of a mantis shrimp!
5. What`s your go-to snack during a long day at sea? 🍏🌮
Frozen grapes and chocolate flavoured coconut water 😛
6. If you were stranded on a deserted island, which crew member would you choose to have with you and why?
If I wanted to build a boat and sail off the island I would choose Dom, if I wanted to settle into my new island home I would choose Louise, and if I wanted to laugh around a campfire until sunrise I would choose Gloria.
7. Funniest guest question you`ve ever been asked on tour (can be a previous job if you are new to Ningaloo? 😂

8. One thing you wish EVERY visitor knew before coming to Ningaloo? 🤔
The reef has magic everywhere — look closely, there’s a whole world of wonder in the smaller details too.

1. What’s your background?
Originally from the UK, have worked in marine tourism since university where I studied a degree in yacht operations.
2. Where were you and what were you doing before working for Sail Ningaloo?
Road tripping across the coast of the country from Airlie beach where I was doing overnight Liveaboard for 2.5 years.
3. What`s your favourite part about working on the Ningaloo Coast so far? 🌴
The variety of wildlife!!!!
4. If you could switch places with any marine creature for a day, which one would it be and why? 🐡🐠
I would swap with a manta Ray, graceful giants.
5. What`s your go-to snack during a long day at sea? 🍏🌮

6. If you were stranded on a deserted island, which crew member would you choose to have with you and why?
Jess, because she would catch us so many fish to eat!!

1. What’s your background?
When I first left school, I worked as a social worker, but I craved a lifestyle change. So, I became a Dive Master, learned to sail, and worked my way up to becoming a Skipper.
2. Where were you and what were you doing before working for Sail Ningaloo?
This is my second year with sail ningaloo before that I was a swim guide with whale shark in Exmouth
3. What`s your favourite part about working on the Ningaloo Coast so far? 🌴
The Ningaloo Reef is truly one of a kind—you can see the Big Three in a single day: whale sharks, manta rays, and humpback whales! There aren’t many places in the world where that’s possible.
4. If you could switch places with any marine creature for a day, which one would it be and why? 🐡🐠
Honestly, anything—just being able to breathe underwater would be amazing! But if I had to choose, it would be a yellow boxfish because they’re the cutest creatures in the ocean!
5. What`s your go-to snack during a long day at sea? 🍏🌮
Frozen grapes are the perfect summer treat! I pop them in the freezer, and they turn into the most refreshing snack on a hot day.
6. If you were stranded on a deserted island, which crew member would you choose to have with you and why?
I’d choose Josh because we always have a great time together, and if we were stranded on a deserted island, he’d somehow find a way to make us a cocktail—no doubt about it!
7. Funniest guest question you`ve ever been asked on tour (can be a previous job if you are new to Ningaloo? 😂
I have a very long list...one of the best was "will I get wet in my wetsuit"
8. One thing you wish EVERY visitor knew before coming to Ningaloo? 🤔
Book for a couple of weeks—don’t just come for a weekend! There’s so much to see in Ningaloo, and don’t forget about the range. Cape Range offers incredible hikes and walks, so it’s not just about the ocean—though, let’s be honest, the ocean is the best part!
Our 5-night Ningaloo escape over the Easter weekend, departing April 17th, was an unforgettable adventure!
We explored the reef`s diverse beauty, from thrilling dives through dramatic crevasses to relaxing snorkels in the shallows of vibrant reef sites. We encountered a wealth of marine life, including graceful turtles, the quirky charm of triggerfish, and the sleek presence of reef sharks. We also spotted elusive moray eels and the beautifully patterned leopard sharks. A truly rare sighting was a spotted snake eel, adding an extra touch of wonder to our journey.
Beyond the underwater wonders, guests enjoyed rejuvenating beach yoga sessions with Louise and exciting flyfishing lessons from a fellow traveler, all culminating in breathtaking orange sunsets that painted the sky each evening.
This Easter escape was a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and the magic of Ningaloo!

Our 3-night Ningaloo tour departing April 14th was a turtle-tastic treat! We were surrounded by graceful sea turtles at every site we visited, a truly heartwarming experience.
It was fascinating to witness "reef shark cuddles" as several sharks nestled together under a perfect ledge, seeking prime real estate. The coral gardens pulsed with vibrant life, teeming with schools of sweetlips, chromis, and snapper. Meanwhile, stingrays diligently foraged in the sandy bottom, and manta rays gracefully shimmied along, stirring up plankton for their midday meal.
Days were filled with fantastic sailing, snorkelling adventures, and incredible diving, making it the perfect family fun getaway on the stunning Ningaloo Reef!

Our 3-night Ningaloo getaway, starting April 11th, was an absolute blast for all ages! The reef was alive with colour, from quirky pufferfish and schooling jacks to beautifully patterned sweetlips, speedy trevally, and elegant trumpetfish.
Evenings painted the sky in stunning orange hues, a perfect backdrop to laughter-filled days. Kids had a fantastic time discovering playful octopus and the majestic manta rays gracefully gliding by.
A true highlight was swimming alongside Albert, a local legend of a loggerhead turtle, and we had the magical experience of spotting both playful dolphins and gentle dugong while sailing the turquiose waters. Ningaloo truly delivered an unforgettable family adventure!

Our 3-night Ningaloo adventure, departing April 7th, was a perfect blend of excitement and relaxation!
We explored vibrant coral gardens teeming with colourful reef fish and graceful sea turtles, and spotted reef sharks patrolling the crystal-clear waters and being cleaned on the cleaning station. A hunting octopus provided a memorable encounter, showcasing its amazing camouflage skills.
Days were spent sailing the turquoise waters, followed by relaxing afternoon naps in the gentle sea breeze.
The highlight, however, was an epic manta ray experience, witnessing these majestic creatures line feeding – a truly awe-inspiring spectacle! Snorkeling and diving revealed Ningaloo`s stunning beauty, leaving us with unforgettable memories.

Our 5-night Ningaloo escape departing April 2nd was an absolute shark-tastic adventure!
We encountered a thrilling diversity, from gentle tawny nurse sharks and sleek grey reefs to a breathtaking swim alongside a beautifully patterned leopard shark, and even a stunning tiger shark cruising the shallows!
Inquisitive octopuses showed a fascination with our cameras, while large rays of all kinds gracefully patrolled the sandy bottoms. Vibrant schools of colourful fish painted the reef in motion. But the true stars of the show were the magnificent manta rays! We were treated to an unforgettable dive with them circling overhead and an incredible snorkel in shallow waters with friendly, inquisitive mantas who seemed eager to play – truly magical encounters!

Our 5-night Ningaloo escape departing March 28th was an epic finale to our first month of tours!
Days were spent sailing under stunning skies, culminating in breathtaking sunsets and a unique remote dune mission for sundowners to cheers the end of an adventurous day on the reef.
We encountered both white-tip and grey reef sharks in shallow crystal waters, graceful turtles, vibrant angelfish, damsels, sweetlips, and parrotfish. A highlight was witnessing an octopus out swimming in the shallows instead of hiding in its hole as usual and a night snorkel revealed the reef`s nocturnal wonders bringing out some alien like creatures.
This extended adventure packed in unforgettable marine encounters and topside beauty!

Our 3-night getaway on 25th March was filled with schools of vibrant fish, including playful neon damsels and delicate angelfish, zipping convict surgeonfish and stately monocle bream all dancing amongst the coral gardens.
Turtles gracefully cruised by, while reef sharks patrolled the edges of the coral, keeping us in awe. We witnessed the magic of manta rays, their elegant movements witnessed from above and below the waterline.
The sunsets, painting the sky in fiery hues, were the perfect ending to each adventure-filled day.
One night, as darkness fell, we explored the reef`s hidden side on a night snorkel, discovering the captivating and playful behaviours of its nocturnal inhabitants.
We packed so much into three nights, leaving with hearts full of Ningaloo`s beauty.

We dove deeper into the wonders of this incredible reef, spending more time exploring its diverse ecosystems. The extended trip allowed us to witness even more of Ningaloo`s magic: from serene encounters with graceful manta rays to thrilling shark sightings, and the ever-present charm of playful turtles. We explored hidden coral gardens teeming with vibrant fish, including schools of shimmering trevally and delicate butterflyfish.
The vastness of the reef was revealed during long, leisurely sails, with the ocean`s colours shifting from deep blues to vibrant turquoise. We enjoyed evenings under a blanket of stars, sharing stories, laughter and creating lasting memories of Ningaloo`s unparalleled beauty.
