Sail Ningaloo Receives Ecotourism Tour Operator Award at the Australian Tourism Awards

Sail Ningaloo are delighted to have been recognised for our commitment to Ecotourism at the Australian Tourism Awards.
The Australian Tourism Awards are the tourism industry’s peak Awards – recognising and promoting excellence in tourism. A large range of tourism businesses enter their state and territory Tourism Awards with a selection hand-picked to receive the prestigious status of becoming a national finalist.

We have been committed for many years to providing a premium ecotourism tour that celebrates, protects and works to educate more people about the incredible Ningaloo Reef and it’s marine environment; while also providing an outstanding experience to our guests” says Luke Riley, owner of Sail Ningaloo. “Australia can be proud of the outstanding quality of our Ecotourism industry, it’s absolutely first rate, and so to be honoured with a Silver award at a national level, is quite something”.
In November 2015 Sail Ningaloo were named Western Australia’s leading Ecotourism Operator at the WA Tourism Awards. They also received a bronze award for adventure tourism.
With advanced ecotourism certification plus carbon neutral and T-qual (Australian Tourism Quality Assurance) certification the Sail Ningaloo team have always been dedicated to not only providing a great experience one their (often) once in a lifetime trip to the world-heritage listed Ningaloo Reef Marine Park, but also one that is sustainable.
The Sail Ningaloo Team were represented at the awards by owners Luke and Lannie Riley who introduced Liveaboard Sailing tours to Ningaloo Reef. They first operated tours on their luxury sailing catamaran Shore Thing in 2010 and have enjoyed providing guests with ‘WOW’ experiences ever since. Sail Ningaloo customers enjoys the opportunity to experience the scenery, wildlife and spectacular coral of Ningaloo Reef over multiple days giving them the time to experience more of the world-heritage listed marine park, including visiting areas rarely accessed by other operators.
